The Denver Accord is powered by GVPedia—a comprehensive resource providing public access to our Gun Study Database, the largest in existence, and to GVP University, a repository of white papers and fact sheets about gun violence. The Denver Accord resulted from a GVPedia conference featuring highly respected gun violence prevention movers and shakers held in Denver in April 2019.
The Denver Accord’s authors and allies are time-and-commitment-tested veterans who saw the need more than a decade ago to counter the skyrocketing number of US gun-related deaths. Their cumulative contributions have influenced and supported other gun violence prevention organizations and helped craft meaningful policies, regulations, and legislation in states across the country. The Denver Accord has proven an effective and efficient roadmap to do that.
